United StatesThe shape, fit and quality are good and the hat is an excellent value. I would buy it again for the price. I have worn it on walks and to the symphony. The wool is a bit heavier and thicker than my other similar wide-brim fedora and not as smooth a material but the heavier wool fits with the casual style. It is definately too heavy for hot summer months. The color, called 'Khaki', is a choclate-milk brown but can show a bit of green undertone in certain indoor lighting. The band is attractive and fits the style; not too bohemian or rough but not fancy-silk-urban either. The metal 'Scala' pin on the band is small and not too obnoxious (I hate brands that try to use me as their walking advertisement! For example, I would never wear an 'Indiana Jones' hat with its huge metal logo pin on the band.). I am right between the Large and XLarge measurements based on the chart. I got the Large, which is perfect. It stays on in a low wind/breeze but does not pinch or hug too tightly. The XLarge would definately have been too loose. I have been caught briefly in two rain storms out walking so far and it performed well in keeping me dry.
